For example, a 30 to 45 minute walk every morning in the great (or not-so-great) outdoors can have immediate positive effects on mood and energy, improved alertness and subsequent restorative sleep. These factors are also key to a productive and cooperative workplace. However, in today's 24/7 lifestyles and business culture, a walk during natural daylight hours is not routinely available. Lumivera features :therapeutic levels of illumination — used at an arm's length distance (20 inches / 60 cm), the Lumivera presents a 2000 lux level for improved general environmental lighting and extended therapeutic exposure times, similar to working 20 inches from a window looking out on a sunny park setting. Or, position the Lumivera up close, for a higher 10,000 lux* level for boosting alertness, energy and better subsequent sleep in a shortened exposure period of 35-45 minutes (*10,000 Lux level measured at a 12 inches/30cm distance from the lamps; 10"/25cm from diffuser.) Broad convex graduated "field of vision" diffuser to improve comfort by widely disbursing the light and minimizing glare associated with flat bright surfaces. The Lumivera diffuser measures 16 x 16 inches square (40 x 40cm) more than 250 square inches - the largest "bright light" in the marketplace - the greater the size, the less the glare and greater the comfort - and the best way to mimic a large window on a bright sunny day. The white light from Lumivera is balanced to 4100 Kelvin creating the highest Lux per Watt efficiency - and avoiding recent controversy regarding blue weighted spectrum and aging eyes. Lightweight, attractive, modern design — the fixture weighs 3 lb/1.35kg; the support stand 2 lb/.9kg. Some assembly is required (less than three minutes) — but no tools are needed. Open air design for constant ventilation. This radical feature increases the light output per watt throughout "session" periods when compared with enclosed "bright light" designs. Support stand is adjustable in both angle and height - rising from 18"/45cm to 4.5ft/135cm - that is from desktop placement to floor standing. Self standing without use of a separate stand - however, if used without the stand, we recommend choosing an eye-level position for optimizing the therapeutic effect - place on shelf, monitor stand or breadbox as illustrated here. Non-proprietary 4100 Kelvin neutral lamp - a non-specialty configuration similar in design to many fluorescent light bulb offerings by such suppliers as Home Depot and Lowe's in the USA - who offer their lamps in white balances choices from 2700K (white light towards a warm orange balance) to 7500K (a white light towards a cool blue balance).
